Wed, 4/23

• ACT testing at central today, so only juniors came, which means we had nothing to do. we had to go, but we didn't do anything (except for watch diary of a mad black woman and bone collector). organization is poor, so nobody really knew what we were doing, aside from the fact that we had to come. we were also told different things from different people, and some resentment ensued. eventually, i think people calmed down. after all, they were paying us to watch movies. who are we to complain?
• lunch at chili's with the other aides and the fls teacher
• school improvement p-something... we had a speaker come in and talk about communication strategies. really important topic, and she definitely had lots of knowledge, but i don't think she really switched to her talking to adult voice. she was extremely patronizing and had weird speech habits that were distracting. i wish she had just given us a handout or worksheet, because she really did have important, relevant things to say. unfortunately, her presentation really detracted from that.
• ran errands: library and post office
• played ds/napped
• went to work. got spoken to about talking. if i was distracting, fine. tell me it's disrupting others. but don't come to my computer and tell me to score because i am. probably more accurate than most, and certainly in the top half in speed as well.
  
• made food for tomorrow and played more DS!
